From a WW in Massachusetts
Good morning, Wise Ones.
I hope you took some time to relax and recharge this weekend. There is a busy week ahead!
Courage is the word of the day, and the action of the week is the April 5th Hands Off protest. With over 950 protests planned around the country, calls are steadily growing for a massive showing of our strength as citizens.
This weekend, I had an inspiring conversation with my 83-year-old, soon-to-be-84-year-old aunt. She is literally losing sleep over the current administration and its lawlessness. I told her about the Hands Off protest in Boston as her anxiety is often greatly relieved by action.
She was all in on the action but was concerned about the distance from her home in coastal Maine. I quickly looked up protests closer to her home on the Hands Off interactive map:
https://www.mobilize.us/handsoff/map/?org_ids=41275
Long story short, we are attending a protest 6 miles from her home, and she is thrilled!
Will you join us? I know many of you are in the Oxford area, and there are planned protests in Tupelo and farther north in Memphis. For those of you in other locations, the map is the fastest way to find one near you and register. Please try to bring others along with you. I quickly reached out to friends and family in northern MA and Maine, and we have grown from two to possibly ten protesters. Powerful stuff - just ask.
Last but not least, George Conway reposted this article from the New Republic*, which validates and adds to the actions we have already been taking. It is absolutely worth an entire read, but if you are pressed for time, skip to the action items toward the end of the article. I will also repost it to the WW Bluesky group 🦋.

The Hands Off protest fits in perfectly with their recommendations.
I wish you courage (and tenacity) as we face the week(s) ahead!
